I think their thread got cut when ML fucked up MCs trajectory. His whole life changed including his S/O. Possible once ML interceded he took MC down gis path. It hink it just so happens the shaman got in the gansters head and the one he saw first who was age appropriate (and looked a lot like mc) was his brother so he got confused. Youll notice he fell in live with him almost immediately based off sight. Now with a broken thread he’s already invested in what he thought was his when he finds out the truth so no longer cares about who it actually was.
