I don't think they went out of their ways to use a slur, that character is represented to be the lowest of trash and a privileged out of touch asshole. That character using a slur fits him because of who he is.
If the main character had used one even tho he is represented to have an open and caring personality I would've been weirded out
what is with asurascans and using the r slur even the poorer translation doesn’t go out of its way to use it lol
