He spent a year unable to do his job as king because he was too caught up on the idea she wasnt dead. So much so by the chance he was right he left into the thick of enemy territory to find her. Not even her friend had that much faith and hope that she was alive. People want to see him suffer but dont realize he did, it was just a years worth of a time skip of him amd his conspiracy theories
It would have been nice if the author showed his suffering a bit more but what he did he deserved this… otherwise he would not even take up any responsibility and would still behave like the old characterless dickhead
Okay? Redemption arc was kinda too fast and that dickhead didn’t feel enough Guilt than I expected. I would have asked her to stand up for herself but nvm
