And also he didn't know the character from before, he only knows them in the modern world cause he went to the past then came back to this modern time. Idk if that makes sense. You're absolutely right, i find it weird cause how can he not recognize his people when he literally transmigrate from modern era to ancient time era. So i believe it's just a dream or another universe
Ahhh that ending with them going to the modern time made me feel sad that they couldn’t stay there longer because MC is definitely gonna die there soon with his cancer, but everyone was there and got a happy life ╥﹏╥ I’m still glad they came back because I don’t want the ML to suffer again seeing his love die once again right before his eyes, but also lowkey like them in modern times lol
