The top confessed to bottom when he just a middle school kid, the bottom seem to also liking top because he is beautiful, but he homophobic ass denial it and start bullying and sexual abuse the poor kid, that not all, he let his friends rape top too, their even taking a video and send it to his mom, that drive her insane

I had seen that allegedly the novel/book or whatever the manhwa was based off got boycotted for reasons being that it touches on issues of misogyny and I don't get how that would make sense? Maybe the bottom represents men, and the top is like an outlet for the author idk idk. But you know what happens. Could you explain how that makes sense

Before getting criticized in Korea, the novel mentioned that the Bottom was a horrible character who raped women and secretly filmed them. He even said, “I’ve done this to plenty of women, you’re just the first man.”

While some might brush it off since the author didn’t go into detail and only used it to highlight how awful the Bottom was, Korean readers found it really disrespectful to let such a vile character survive (top even having feeling for him).

Why was the reaction so strong? Because the Nth Room case was still fresh when the novel came out, and now the manhwa adaptation is happening while deepfake crimes remain a sensitive topic. Most readers are women, so the backlash hit harder.

That said, both the novel and webtoon have since edited out that part, so they probably kept just the relationship dynamics between the Top and Bottom.
