I disagree with your comment. Matthias is definitely who I will pick IRL. Yes Matthias was an ass at the beginning but let’s give credits where it’s due. I don’t want to spoil but Mathias basically revised the structure of the monarchy because of Layla. Dude outsmarted his family because of Layla. Improved economy because of, well you know who. Matthias also allowed Layla to achieve her dream and not tied her down to a role of a duchess. Which was uncommon for people of his calibre in that generation and era. Dude even went to war and almost died because of Leyla. I don’t condone some of the things he did to express his feelings for her in the beginning but Yes I will pick Matthias in real life. Kyle didn’t even come close to Matthias. Some of your should really read to comprehend and keep an open mind.
