Nope no connection I believe… this story is an adaptation from a novel which there’s a LOT of backlash too and cursing the novel because of controversial things that happen in it. The author of the adaption is changing some of the controversial things but that isn’t stopping people from bashing it
Different author same artist. Maybe the artist is adapting the author of the novels work this time but sadistic beauty etc was written by a different author.
