My mind has sort of stuck to Jinx this week so I did a reread despite telling myself i'll do it once the series ends. And honestly, now that I was able to read it in one go, I felt like the overall bad reaction and strong feelings are due to the suspense of the weekly release. Like we read too many stories and it's just all mixed up, we don't connect the story much. Like if you read it in one go, you'll see the secret glances at doc, and that JK was kinda in the right that they had an agreement that he just needed doc for his jinx AND that he always has rough sex. I think he has issues with his career and self-esteem that once it was threatened by his shoulder injury, he just became an asshole esp towards doc which I really get was uncalled for. But then again, I'm not really obsessed/invested with the story so the reread was an eye opener. The one thing I'm not liking though is that the formula is very similar to BJ Alex. I hope Mingwa challenges herself to do something new
