You can also look into more subtle BLs in danmei like Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation or Thousand Autumns.

Tadaima, hyperventilation and Mignon were really good to. Sasako to Miyani is good, Doukyuusei I liked as a teen but it’s about high schoolers and I’m not into that stuff now. I want BL with adults lol. Subtle Bl is fine too, but I’d like BL that’s not like “it is bl but we can’t outright say it

There’s been many Bl animes made throughout the years, but still so little compared to the vast amount kf anime in general. And what’s even worse, is the BL anime selection is so shitty. It’s either about teenagers/kids (or just kids/teens f*cking) or freaking pedo/incest relationships. Like bitch, I don’t wanna watch the anime where a high school kid has sex with his uncle/dad, like WHAT.
Or weird relationships that are borderline, like the dude knowing/liking them when they’re younger or a grown man dating an 18yo high schooler *cough* Junjou Romantica *cough* (which tbh, the age gap doesn’t bother me and I did like their relationship and season 2/3, but I never watched season 1 and kinda just pretend it doesn’t exist since a man dating a high schooler, especially as their tutor just feels really weird. I still like the relationship and season 2 and 3 though)
Like, I also personally have no issues with more toxic relationships in BL/yaoi, with abuse/rape and stuff. Sometimes I even prefer it (ikik, I’m a lil messed up lmao) but I also know other people dislike those tropes. That limits content even more. And they deserve healthy and wholesome things to watch too.
Idk man, I just want more BL anime that wasn’t so problematic or borderline creepy/questionable. Give me a BL anime with two grown ass adults, who aren’t related, there can be an age gap if they want ig just as long as it’s not too bad. Idc if it’s wholesome and cute or dark and toxic, but give me something man. And give people who don’t like abuse or rape something as well.
Heaven Official’s Blessing, Cherry Magic, Sekaichi Hatsukoi, Dakaretai Otoko. All great animes imo, why can’t we have more like them
