idk why this is still a discussion. i don’t think yall realize how colonial and homophobic it is to be insistent it isn’t yaoi when the author LITERALLY HAS LABELED IT YAOI AND THIS SITE AND STORES HAVE LABELED IT YAOI.
yaoi and queer stories are ALLOWED to be multi-faceted. yaoi/queer stories are allowed to be more than just cutesy BL or toxic yaoi. get your head out of your ass and wake up
No one is being homophobic in here. We all read yaoi, we don't have time to be homophobic.
Contrary to what you are saying, koogi has stated times and times that KS was a psychological thriller. Not a yaoi. Since that was never the focus of the story(a quick Google search will do the job).
It does indeed depict a relationship between two men (reason why it's found in the Bl section - to say to the reader. Two men will be in here having relations / since yaoi depicts homo affective relations) but in any moment is it affective nor romantic, since we know sangwo never liked boom nor viewed him in any loving form, only manipulation and control.
But that aside, if you read the notes and the QA between the reader's and the author, it's stated that sangwo is both hetero and homophobic. And that can be perceived throughout the story, through his actions and comments.
Yaoi is surely multifaceted. It can be fluffy, horror, thriller and much more. It's an amazing genre full of potential. However it's important to understand that even tho we as readers have our own opinions and canons, we must respect the stories as they are intended per the author and not force our views of things upon a story.
Finally, when trying to make your point come across, don't be rude. Be polite and use the comments as they are intended, to be civic and proper. Have a nice day.
some yall in the comments act like you’ve never read a yaoi before #-.-)
