And in the same chapter that it reveals how our prince was occasionally raped, there was an assassination attempt on our prince and the siblings, the princess who order her knight to rape our prince got hit with a dagger to her stomach (bith got off waaaay too easily). Our prince will escape with the guard captain's killer, and our mage will fight the assassins. And at the end of this chapter, it seems like it was the empress who actually order the assassination.
