Iirc it was never made fully clear how they had her. Whether it was adoption or (more likely) a surrogate. They had a whole argument over misunderstandings about the idea of surrogacy, but then realized it didn't matter who bio dad was, they just wanted to raise a kid together

it was adoption! dojun wasnt willing to have a surrogate and heesoo eventually understood that. i might be confusing this over something else but if im not mistaken they chose a child who looked the most like heesoo(?)
