I can’t get a grasp of the kings character, on one hand he seems to be completely ruthless…. Actually that’s his entire personality at this point but then suddenly he cares for our Regas. It doesn’t make any sense. I’m calling OOC

Well our mc is quite dumb and charming. Easy to care for him after a while especially since he seems to be like someone else the king liked (while not trying to pander or appeal to him). It’s like suddenly having a cute pet and then your pet gets hurt. As a ruthless person you would likely beat people up (if you were already going to anyways) for the sake of the pet

The king , as a child, was abused horribly, fed poison, treated like an animal. He is in fact not wholly human. Abel was the only person who showed him the simple beauty of life and was extremely kind to him. Then Abel was murdered. The king had the potential to be a murderous , world ending monster, or something more under Abel's guidance and influence. Because Abel found that the king was being poisoned, he started the change in a select few to help the kings humanity not be lost after he was gone. But the king has been 11 years without Abel. His potential as a killing machine is without question, and he's fighting his own country who fears losing control of him. Now the simple purity of Abel as arrived in his life again. It's easy to see why he is a mixed bag personality wise, but the story really begins now, I believe, as far as who the king will be. Because he's a child no longer, and he has his Abel back.
