I'll be the odd one to say it but i gotta say it! You don't go behind your loved one's back to meet their abuser! That cute *barf* grandma abandoned Hye-seung with another abuser. Dojin had no right to keep contact with her. Byul had absolutely no right to show her Hye-sung's newborn. Both of them are disregarding and belittling Hye-sung's pain and trauma. That pissed me off so much i couldn't consantrate on the rest.

I was just about to come to the comments to ask about that. Could not remember why they were estranged from her.

He might have not known the details, also he knows his mother is in contact with her in secret and based his decision on that.

I agree that Hyseung’s mom doesn’t deserve that. I wish Dojin would’ve talk to Hysung about this. Now Byul, it’s not his fault because he doesn’t know the reason behind it, but I fear when he does somehow he’ll also know about Hysung leaving him also.

Byul also comes off as a bit clueless

His father is in contact with her, his mother is not. But isn't that an alarm bell to warn him about Hye-sung's decision? Shouldn't he show some respect to his mom's decisions? I'd feel sooooo betrayed if i was Hye-sung. Not everyone deserves forgiveness and Hye-sung's mom is one of them.

FR! Like how can Hyesung trust Dojin after that. Clearly the feelings of the woman that left him with an abuser matters to Dojin than the health and wellbeing of his own love! I hate that they white washed it. No matter how much time passed it will never be okay.

I hope both Byul and Dojin realises how horrible they are being to Hyesung by doing this

I guess leaving her child with an abuser is an abuse in itself because she was okay with leaving him in a bad environment with a dangerous person which she herself wanted to be away from.

Exactly he doesn't know the details but he's aware his mother never brings her up. That alone is enough said. Additionally he knows that his father, not his mother is the one keeping secret in contact with the grandmother. Not heesung. So even that is more irritating.

I’m more upset with Dojun than Byul. Byul is just a teenager and it’s normal for teens to be short sighted and Byul doesn’t seem
like much of a deep thinker when it comes to emotions. Look at his great epiphany about his dating life. Also consider that, as a teenager, he probably trusts both of his parents equally, so if he sees his father helping her out, he’s probably thinking she can’t be that bad and maybe his mother and her just got into some random argument that lasted all of these years. I can’t really see this being his fault. He just doesn’t know any better.
