To me, killing Yong-Taek was part of Bada's plan. It feels deliberate in how he commented how he wanted to cut his hair so this new guy who trust him would give him a tool in case he had one hidden. Bada is not a trusting person, so even when he was up to teaming up, he knows better than to anger Doha. So when he asked Doha to trim his hair, it is his way of giving the knife to him so he can kill Yong-Taek. It's not because he doesn't want to team up with this new guy, but because first he needs to sort things out with Doha. If he keeps playing this session with the two of them in this condition, they aren't going anywhere. He himself said that they will spend this run talking, so that's they will do. He needs more information/explanations from Doha before moving forward. He is being pragmatic and calculating, which is expected from someone who has been in this for as long as him. One more death means nothing.

Thank you! Rereading the chapter with this in mind made it even more clear to me. Bada realises quite early that this isn't going anywhere lol, Doha is not a cooperative fella, he has suffered it first hand too.

Might end up being wrong, but I refuse to think Bada trusts Doha blindly even if he likes him. He is used to Doha killing other people anyway, so panicking right now isn't going to help lol.
