Alive
They are alive, the official story ended with them falling in water, Jooha having no memories and then falling in the frozen lake. Now the side stories are about the period when Jooha had no memories bc the official story skipped this part. Then the side stories picks up again at the frozen lake and Jooha getting his memories back. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ (≧∀≦)
Hopefully I made it understandable enough. To simplify what I said:
OG story->frozen lake(end)
Side stories->no memories Jooha(before frozen lake, after they got rid of Pilwon)
And now new chapters after the frozen lake
