He wants to use her marriage as political tool to cement Raymond as his pillar in the Royal faction. And he's using her "feelings" for Raymond as an emotional debt to both thinking he Agnes is still obsessed with him
Okay fair but what I don't get is how insistent he is that FL still has feelings for that jerk. She has said multiple times that she didn't want him no more
Cuz he doesn't really pay attention to her, it was already established their communication is one sided (he gives her orders or scolding ) he also thinks she's useless and the only thing he knows abt her is her obsession with Raymond never even tried to understand her unlike the other white Knight that recognised her Loneliness
