He initially thinks the FL sister is the FL(since fl described herself using the sisyers appearance), but quickly realizes it isn't her. He eventually finds out who FL is because he overhears her reading a book to someone in the same tone that she used to read to him. He now knows that the FL was the most beautiful soul and person through his friends eyes, and his eyes too.

In the translated one, the ml didn't go to find her, instead two guys in black found his sister and her sister brought fl along with her. And we haven't gone to the part ml recognises fl.
