It has to be, right? No one with brains would fail to understand why the Adelaide is hostile to the man who disrespected her from the second they met each other .
I’m at chapter 22 and I don’t get it, can someone explain why Adelaide has such a grudge towards the emperor. Ok he has a mistress, and? It’s not like they married for love. He wants her to rather be in the shadows and she wants to be a real empress but I don’t understand why!!! It’s not like she has an ulterior motive and wants all the power for herself I just don’t understand why’s she so hostile towards him from the get go. She coudve established a good relashionship between them even if it wouldn’t be love, but why make everything complicated? I
