Really?

Does every shounen manga need to have the ml to be with someone? I really hoped it would be all-natural and no ship would happen. Also, did you really think he would make the male lead character gay? He really can't if it's a shouen (mainly an action) manga they aren't allowed to have the male lead characters be gay or any other different type of sexuality. Side characters are allowed but not the male lead, Japan is very homophobic. I mean Oda the writer of One Piece has to kinda hide Luffy sexuality as we all know Luffy is aroace which makes it a bit obvious that Luffy has no sexual and romantic attraction but if he makes Luffy aroace his editors and publisher would not be happy and force him to change it or probably make him finish the story. Idk what would happen if he did that but I do know that they would make him do something to his manga. There is no way in hell that Horikoshi would make Deku gay if he wanted to. I am just saying it is impossible to have him make the male lead character to be gay without arguing with the publisher and his editors. In my opinion I just like this ending that it was all natural and no shipping, it bit repetitive to see the male lead get the girl maybe for once he doesn't want to be in a relationship. Idk but just stating a fact to all shippers that really wanted Deku to be gay would be very impossible to do because of how really homophobic Japan is, I mean they do not have to legalize gay marriage. Just go read god damn doujinshi if you are not happy with the ending or the canon ship

"we all know luffy is aroace" get your head out of the gutter buddy. who are you to dictate what another artist's characters sexualities are. show some respect smh. i agree that this half assed izuocha development isn't it, but we're reading shonen ffs, what did you expect. this isn't shojo, josei, or BL.

You do know that Aroace isn't doesn't mean "gay" as it means that Luffy isn't interested in romance and sex either. Plus how would it be a bl if the character isn't interested in having a relationship with anyone? I mean he has queer and trans characters in his series, not only there were are evidence showing Luffy not having any romantic or sexual attraction to anyone. I'm not saying "Oh Luffy is gay and his partner is Zoro" or saying that "Luffy has romantic feelings for Nami". Since One Piece isn't a romantic action series it would make sense that he is showing but also hiding the fact that Luffy has no interest and attraction to be in a romantic relationship with anyone. What he really just wanted was to be the King of the Pirates that is his only dream and goal, being in love or having a partner isn't his goal and dream. Plus I was just saying the author can't have their male lead sexuality to be gay or any other type of sexuality and have them give up the idea of that. That is why I mention Oda as he wanted his character to not have any romantic and sexual attraction as he is kinda hiding it to not make it very obvious that the male lead doesn't have feelings for anyone but someday he has to change if he gets caught. Also not sure if you know this but there is Shounen manga that was surprisingly not shojo and that is Horimiya also shounen manga that represents LGBTQ and the male lead is bisexual is Blue Flag and it's not a BL but a shounen manga.
