I didn’t get that vibe but maybe. The former priestess made it sound like the gods would take back the power if he didn’t remain “clean” but then again, like the baby doesn’t really make sense unless it’s gonna have power? Which I kind of hate because the priestess and shiki both suffered having the power… and it makes me think that cycle of unhappiness would just continue
