Mincheol wanted to be a father and be with someone who would wear heart on her sleeves with that someone who looks like they are in love but after losing child and being in debt she lost started being depressed and Mincheol felt embarrassed to show someone like that as his wife. They fought and divorced but lived together because they both were alone. The youthful love gradually got lost in the hardships and without support from one party. It was best for them get separated but knowing Mincheol, he would not let go fl that early and feel irritated that she won't smile at me to him...

Why do I feel like theu both genuinely loved each other. But something happened to her, like maybe she lost her baby or something and since then she lost her emotions and nothing Mincheol did could make her react so he kept pushing her even more until he finally saw a reaction. Like he is definitely an asshole but there might be more to the story?? I don't know
