update i've just bought volume 2 (if even 1 person is interested i'll translate it for free bc i've got time on my hands) and we find out for sure that rika-chan is a highschool senior! pretty likely he's like... freshly 18 which is Not Great but hey, probably not a minor. it's a win for me.
