ngl i’m confused as to whether or not we’re supposed to forget about ines’s original plan? like i know it’s obvious she loves carcel and doesn’t want to divorce him, but i actually don’t like the way they progressed that at all. she just fell in love and then it was never mentioned again. like couldn’t there at least be something that shows her giving up on it for good? i mean someone tell me if there’s a chapter she did or where it was mentioned bc i will definitely go back and reread it.

I don't explicitly remember but in the chapter where a lady dressed like her was trying to seduce carcel she ran to him to make sure nothing happened. It was clear she didn't want carcel to cheat and later on throughout the story she was fine with being carcel's wife and in the recent chs I don't remember which she thought it'd be fine to have carcel's child and start a family. In the novel her inner thought process is more clear.

In ch59, the sequence of Ines’s thoughts before Carcel woke up gave insight into the fact that she realized her plan was ruined and she also acknowledged that her life in Calztela had become her reality. In other words, she was finally living rather than just existing and she could no longer imagine a life apart from Carcel and the precious people she lives with in Calztela.

i think it’s because carcel is her new plan, they probably won’t address it because it’s so obvious that she let her plan go for him

Welcome . The first two volumes of the novel are translated and available to purchase but the rest is still not translated and the manhwa is caught up with those two volumes but you'd definitely find that segment which I described.

The novel won’t explicitly say it either. There is a process and progression involved in Ines finally giving up her 17 year divorce plan. It started before the arc with the crazy lady that she invited into their home in ep50 and culminated with the fever arc. The crazy lady arc triggered an unexpected and honest response from her where she realized she didn’t actually want Carcel to cheat.

The flashback to crown princess timeline in ep54 occurred the night of the crazy lady incident. It’s the flashback when Ines realized Carcel always loved Ines Valeztena. It was an important development which enlightened her on the fact that Carcel loved her back then even when she didn’t love him. That’s added support that she can trust his love for her in the current timeline (he confessed his love earlier that night in the current timeline) since another version of him loved her secretly and unrequitedly.

Both of the above coupled with Carcel fainting from fever created a crisis response from Ines and forced her to be honest. That’s how she arrives at her thought process in ep59 where she basically surrenders. After that day, even if she had one or two brief thoughts about her plan, it was pretty much ignored especially since she continued to experience other flashbacks that taught her about Carcel whom she never paid attention to like in ep62. Those flashbacks serve the purpose of teaching her the truth about his character and his enduring love for her.
