Hmm wait didn't they get divorced? but Haesoo stayed with him because he begged her to help him pay his debt, since she still loved him at that time she stayed. And thats for real not an excuse to cheat on someone, plus she was the one who was working hard so that he could fully pay off his debt, its so annoying how ungrateful he is. Don't make it seem like its fully her fault why he fell out of love, because if he did truly love her he would've worked hard so that Haesoo wouldn't have to suffer with his debt too. :((
i understand where you came from, but cheating isnt the way. i understand the loveless 'marriage' leads to cheating, it happened to my parents marriage too before they divorce. but you dont understand mincheol, HE WANTS BOTH WOMEN. He wants the mistress AND haesoo. this guy is shit, he divorced haesoo because he used her name for loan so he doesnt have connection with her whatsoever. so they're no husband and wife in legal matter. he's shitty because after that he cant leave her because he used her name and haesoo cant live without him (before taeha appears).
It isn’t!! I literally have no experience with real relationships, but he wasn’t really taking accountability for the relationship. It’s nice of Haesoo to help him out, but like at their current stage, they would be stuck their entire life together only because they’re in such low-paying jobs. I guess you’re right about it not being fully her fault. I didn’t fully remember or understand the situation regarding the debt or their divorce so I was just assuming based on their current behavior. It’s wrong to cheat just based on their impoverish lifestyle.
Ohhh, that makes more sense, but didn’t Hawaii always get shit grades? I’m not sure if Kang Mincheol was any better but it was like mostly in the B range. Their dynamic makes more sense now that I think about it. She also has multiple part-time jobs so it makes up for her shortcomings in the job scene
There is no excuse! You’re right. I’m just thinking of it as not really cheating at that point since they weren’t really in a romantic relationship. I don’t even think they had one scene where they held hands (even if they don’t kiss or have sex, holding hands is less sexual and could be a way to still maintain that status of being in a relationship together) I was thinking of it on a perspective of changing who you’re friends with based on unequal contributions, which is completely wrong… I’m sorry
Having the backstory showed that she was able to start a new chapter in her life with Kang Mincheol when she kissed him (cuz it was showing that oh, his acts of love won her over), so doing that with Beom Taeha means that she wants to start again. Good for them.
This is kind of an unpopular opinion, but I'm happy that Kang Mincheol cheated. Not for Na Haesoo to break from his chains, but for him to get broken from hers (even if he approached first). From the start of the webtoon, we saw that Haesoo was always making sure that they had enough money for the month and not really acting lovey dovey. Mincheol was always kind of listening, but annoyed cuz they were poor and their lives were mundane. Even before Mincheol began to cheat, Taeha was around and sniffing up Haesoo. I still don't fully understand his intentions, but I think that HaesooXTaeha isn't gonna be a satisfying couple just because of how complex both of their situations are. Anyways, I understand why Mincheol cheated because although Mincheol wanted to do things outside of their normal schedule together to maintain their love, Haesoo was always so tired or like doing stuff to make sure they would be financially stable. I know that she did most of the work around the house, and they would probably have more time together if they split of the tasks better, but obviously since they've been together for this long, it might just be her love language or wtv.
There's also the issue of how their careers kind of suck. Mincheol is at a desk job and Haesoo is a cashier at a flower shop. Together, they would probably barely make over 90-100k USD (assuming that Mincheol is at a basic job lol). Haesoo's lack of intelligence made it hard for her to get a job, so she compensates with dealing with house chores. I still kind of don't know why they got divorced, but since they were in a loveless relationship, I was happy when Kang Mincheol went somewhere else to get that love. The way he approached it wasn't really good, since he was still thinking about Haesoo while getting with Ari, but I still think that it's good he was able to pursue his own happiness.
This opinion is kind of twisted because although I've never been in a romantic relationship, I've had friendships where there isn't enough reciprocation from the other party and I feel like shit 24/7. The only way to get out of that is seeking other relationships or working on yourself. I just felt like I related to Mincheol in that way. You can change my view or wtv, but I still relate to Mincheol. Of course, if I was in a similar situation to him, I would tell my wife/partner at the time about my concerns and try to work it out but I don't think they had the luxury of doing that which led to this whole mess. idk anymore.
