Exactly. Even Rize in the novel, despite all the horrible things she did, she got away with almost no consequences for her actions. Almost like it didn't really matter that Edith was almost killed multiple times cause of her.

Right??? In the novel, the duke and duchess felt like tertiary characters, even though they are literally a fully working Duke and Duchess. I feel like they could've utilised their status more rather than just let Cliff and Lize go scott free after all the shit she pullled
Ugh, i remembered how pissed i was when I read the ending. Lize suffered no consequences AT ALL. And yknow what? I feel like she even lavished after her psychotic tendencies was revealed. She didn't have to hide her true self anymore.
I was kinda sad how forgiving Edith and Killieon was in the Novel.

Personally, I believe lize got the right punishment in novel, being sent to a place where noone will pay attention is hell to an attention seeker.
But I hated that cliff was free from all his crimes, while he was also an insane person. He even got a good marriage and the position of duke. I hated that
That said, I'm excited to see how cliff will suffer in the Manhwa. The duke seems to have more sense here haha. He probably still will end up being the heir to the dukedom but I'm excited to see him rattled and have the fact that Lize is a lunatic dawned on him. Now, not 5 years later. He'll probably still have to bare his decision as he already dug his grave but i love to see him suffer 5 more years with a lunatic by his side and suffer with shame.

I read the nothing the novel and the manhwa, and I did wish that the manhwa duke and duchess did more than what novel duke and duchess did.
In the novel, they seem so...bland. I know I know, they suffer for 5 years living with cliff and lize and all. But yknow what? I like the manhwas little change.
It seems like Cliff and lize is going to get direct punishment in the manhwa, not the indirect type like the novel. In the novel, it was written like they were dealt with the easiest and most simple way, aka, letting them live the way they want until the eventual unfolding of lize's psychopathic tendencies caught up and they all(duke, duchess, and cliff) realize what a lunatic she truly is.
As much as I would love to see them suffer, I'd love to see some senses knocked onto them.
So I dont mind the changes in the manhwa. I like variations.
I'd still like to read about Killieon and Edith moving to the other estate. I like seeing them care for each other. And I also want to see the child Edith saved before Lize could save him as a ploy to get others to like her more.
And also, I hope with the slight storyline change, the princess would make some significant change as well
