Sometimes people just change. Hardships chip at people until they're not whole anymore. People turn bitter and sour about life, and many turn that anger outwards towards loved ones. I'm sure he really did love her once, but time dulls even the sharpest blades.

If I had to really guess why Mincheol is so different I’m thinking it’s gotta be from the hardships they’ve faced especially the debt or the miscarriage (probably both) maybe seeing that he can’t protect Hae-soo at all sent him into a depression so deep he came out a narcissist
