And when he landed he replaced old Kiriki who didn’t want to be the priestess (they did say a few chanpters back that she ran away). Methinks he either wants to defeat the demon king OR he’s like Gozu and obsessed with the underdog, which would cause a problem when he tries to take Eve from Gozu. That’s my theory. I really do think he’s a reincarnation too. And him replacing Kiriki is the bigger reason behind a lot of the storyline deviations.
