In my mind, Kang Moo will lose to his urge and Kirin will either kill him and himself cause he can't bear to see KM losing it all to his urges. Now that's a beautiful ending lmao or just my twisted thought hahaha they either be together or they don't
I interpreted the ending as them still being together, just that Kirin will be sad because Kangmoo can’t control himself anymore. But maybe I’m thinking too optimistically by thinking they are still together and do grow old and that Kangmoo genuinely loves Kirin and stays with him

it’s kinda of tragic in a way. they’re both doomed to tragedy. kirin with his love for kang mo and kang mo to have the urge to kill until he dies. i’ve seen how some people want more side stories because they want a “why” however this was never meant to be a “they grow old together” story.
