The timeline jumped around a bit in the side chapters. I got a little confused too but it was just showing how they died happily and peacefully together.

Wait they died? Of old age? They weren't that old tho were they??? And how come in his flashback they don't have gray hairs despite seeming like he was at the age not too far from when they died in their last moments???? What was the point of Side Stories??? How did they die :< what???
