But instead nepthyphs got the mirror and her real feelings got stuck in the mirror while the outer neph was tricked into loving osirius.

Yeah, the mirror basically has a hidden function where a user can set it to perform a lobotomy on the next person's brain... making the one who stares into it believe whatever the user wanted them to believe. Pity Osiris discovered how to activate and use that hidden function. ...But I dunno why Sekhmet thought that Nephthys getting lobotomized instead of Seth was a "better" option (unless she really thought that Osiris wouldn't put his hands on someone else who wasn't the one he was truly attracted to)
I think Sekhmet thought it was better because then Osiris would not have what he desparately wanted

She only made sure Osiris' plan didn't work, She doesn't really care about what would be good for them. You could even say that Nephthys getting the mirror instead of Seth would be worse than Osiris, initial plan, since THAT event eventually led up to Osiris assaulting Seth
Cause seth is the one who osirius really wanted, and sekhmwt didnt want him to get who osirius wanted. Pity is still went to osirius' favor tho.
