NGL I liked the original more, in a way in the novel the duke, duchess and cliff get their punishment Its A more prolonged way where they get sick and tired of lize and suffer for long with stress. However I will read the rest because the manwha up till these last few chapters has been really good. I just wanna see killeon and Edith go to their territory and live peacefully. I wanna see that ridiculous wedding of lize and cliffs from the novel and see it crash lol.

Its not that type of punishment. She will just realize that she spoiled Lize too much and feel bad about it

She’s kind to Edith but she also was a bystander. Just cause she’s moderately nice doesn’t mean she went out of her way to resolve things (until they changed the ending part). Like the part where she just allowed lize to wear the family heirloom necklace. She still was happy regardless.

Also even after the influence stopped working, in the novel the duchess still cared for lize so she wouldn’t punish her strictly. She’s like a mom that’s overly nice to the point that it can be bad, letting her kid do whatever they want. Willful ignorance and being a bystander can be just as bad
