Discipline the boy

I love every single character in this story but Ash has been neglected by everyone except his mom and Lily (forgot her name). It’s frustrating to see him act out and go the extra mile for a situation so tiny but he’s never been corrected. For example, why is it so easy for him to venture on his own? He’s 9. He’s left the house (or ran) more than he’s been a topic in this story yet no one seems to care as much as his mom. Ffs Alex isn’t even caught up with what Ash has been doing and he leaves him in a random parking lot when he could’ve strapped him down in the back seat? They both acted out when there was an easy solution. Alex is 17 he should know better than to leave a 9 year old alone at night.

In a lot of Asian countries, it’s safer environment and it’s normalized for children to walk/take transportation on their own, which is why it may be shocking to others that a kid can just walk home by himself.

Though it’s true Alex could’ve easily took him with him, but I guess he was in panic mode so he wasn’t thinking properly

I know it’s normalized but walking home isn’t the problem—I’m specifically talking about how he left the house and his mother was frantically searching for him or him taking the train to see a man that gave him an address.
