I get what you mean, but in this manhwa that greeting ISN'T common. That's why when ml kissed the fl's parents in the back of the hand, they were like "Oh, so it's not romantic. It's a common greeting from abroad!"
I definitely agree with most noble settings, but in this one it's specified that it is an outdated greeting they haven't used since the last empress's passing, which is why they're shocked the man uses it after returning to the country unaware of their customs
I have always to say this while having read many rofan mangas/manhwas/manhuas with such hand-kissing scenes.
1. Get over yourself! It's not a fucking romantic
declaration!
2. Its an acceptable form of greeting amongst aristocratic circles.
3. Its either a:
--show of loyalty to a superior
--a person you have decided to protect or
--in this case, most probably, "An act of
courtesy" as they are meeting for the 1st
time
--Ladies are also usually greeted this way by
men to show their admiration
But by GOD! It's not a exclusive greeting the way these female mcs react! Noble men usually use this method of greetings for Noble ladies, young or old! #－.－)
