yes but their high school story is so worth it to read since it focuses on the development of their relationship and displays their individual hardships and how they come to support each other. SO GOOD TO READ!! especially when they become adults, they matured well!!

the woman is extremely straight forward and they both communicate each other their feelings with each other, especially both when they were high schoolers and when they grown up as adults. their relationship is really healthy which is surprising lol
