Most likely. It was probably Christianity tbh. I don’t hate Christianity but for a religion preaching love thy neighbour, it’s quite hypocritical cause it also says that god smites people who are pagans cause he doesn’t like it when people acknowledge gods that are not him so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was them.
It’s “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”!! It means that the bonds you make will always be stronger than the bonds you are born with. Blood is thicker than water doesn’t refer to bloodlines AT ALL!! Whoever first took the saying out of context was way out of line for doing so and now generations later, people still say the quote wrong. She’s with her rightful family! The one she chose IS her rightful family.
