Its not mushy mushy but it is a good story and the romance was worth the wait. There was reveals here and there if you paid attention. It didn't feel like it took forever because it felt like a natural escalation for them. And these guys for quite while wouldn't even understand what mushy was unless it was about someone else. Though that's mostly the girl. These two are more like rivals and love bickering. It doesn't feel like along winded relationship. There's a bunch of tidbits throughout.
