i mean, hangyeol is deeefinitely weird & manipulative. the way he talks is definitely in a way to take advantage of woojoo (ig his parents taught him well)
edit: i think due to an added emoji in my original comment, the rest of my comment was deleted, so i'll j do a tl;dr here (which is still going to be quite long)
1. while i believe hangyeol is wack, i don't like woojoo either. i hate how woojoo never clarified he was doing all this, including enjoying sex & being shy with hangyeol, all for the sake of suho
2. there is such an imbalance of reality & fiction considerations. this manhwa provides woojoo with SO MANY "technical" leeways. technically, woojoo was never dating suho, so who cares about who he's fucking right now? technically, they were dating only for 2 weeks & it was for the purpose of getting rid of woojoo's "trauma", so why should woojoo know hangyeol was serious about acting as though they're dating? technically, hangyeol is a weirdo & he never clarified with woojoo either, so why should woojoo? all of these are "technically", if you REALLY want to stand by your best friend who's clearly doing something bonkers & you shouldn't reallt support, on woojoo's side. but there is such an imbalance of fiction & reality. there's a "realistic" sense to it - of trauma, of technicalities. but be fr rn, it is so FICTIONAL to be THAT dense & naive (ntm lowkey, the trauma in this manhwa is p shaky & odd, so again, fictional). ntm there is NO sign of any neurodivergence by woojoo - it's j how the author has designed his character to be in such a 2d way & due to this, i j fucking hate his character & cannot stomach his behaviours. there's no REAL strong reason to stand by woojoo
3. i really like suho's character & i want him to be happy. i don't want him to go through confusion, disappointment, hurt, anger & sadness because the person he liked couldn't open up to him. i don't want him to become the target of hangyeol's hostility because woojoo couldn't fucking talk to hangyeol to respect suho. i want suho to be with someone who's not only clear about his feelings, but is in a position to protect suho, prove it to suho directly, & make suho feel loved
4. if any of y'all are gonna come up to say "oh! woojoo is doing all this for suho, so he loves him so much!" ... okay, &? does suho know? is this good for suho? does suho FEEL loved? none of you should be romanticising hurting your partners j because you think this is how you prove your love. the only person you're "proving" that you have feelings for is yourself. this is SUCH an insanely selfish take. you are protecting YOURSELF. while i agree you should always prioritise yourself, it should NEVER be at the expense of another person, especially someone who has loved & treated you kindly. if your partner doesn't know you love them, & is only hurt by your actions, is this REALLY for them?
