I mean... I think thats the whole porpuse of the story. They are gods but do awful things like humans.
Everything fits. Hes the god with "his fate decided" and he wants to change that. His fate decided could probably be, being betrayed and dying.
Also he says in his town EVERYONE wants to talk and LISTEN to him. And his powers are OP too.
If we pay attention he never mention being other gods in his land with him. So we can assume he comes from a monotheistic religion.
If I remember correctly, he even comments about Egypt having so many gods or smth like that.

Im not even mentioning the IDENTICAL appearence (even canon if he actually is from Israel), he says a beard its a man's appeal (hebrews wore beards) and his clothes, even though they are from egypt, they look awfully familiar.
Plus, greek gods tend to be white because of the location. And Israel its literally NEXT TO Egypt, so it could totally be.
