As someone that thinks they Are ugly Even Tho being told You’re Not, you have to Go Into depth and tell This Person what makes them Not ugly, Go into Details and for example Talk about Their eyes, their nose etc
Kissing them homies goodnight is the only correct answer (but in all seriousness I think if you're close enough you should probably ask them to hang out or buy them treats and comfort them. I'm quite insecure myself so I'd appreciate if someone did that for me so I thought maybe your friend will like it too)
there were times when i would just agree with them and be like "same" because i feel ugly all the time myself and would tell them "how i wished i was born with a pretty face" and they would also agree with me lol
it's my way of saying "it's okay to feel insecure" which is true, because most people feel that way and it's normal. but you can end it with a positive note and that's when you will point out their good features or maybe their personality if it can make them better.

When someone is insecure and talks to you about how they don't feel pretty genuinely how do you respond without sounding half assed.. Like to them obviously it won't matter that I don't think they're ugly bc I don't I think they're rlly pretty but anyway HOW do you respond
