I think she was just picking up what she heard. Kids pick up the things others around them say really easily because that’s their only source. This is definitely the uncles fault.
definitely. its literally up in quotes - "it's weird to have two dads and no mom" so he was only voicing something people would say about a child in the same case as hiro, but she understood it as him making his own statement. kids that age dont form their own opinions yet and only soak up the information around them. his recklessness isnt the main concern, its the fact that he has those bitter thoughts in the first place.
