I gave it a try some time ago despite "oh, it's like Silk under the steel (or smth like thisXD everyone knows which title I'm mentioning) but MAYBE it'll turn out interesting? Different?" Sadly no. Very much NO.
Rapes at every corner. Huge body difference. Hypersialosis. Poor plot. And the rape's scenes (some may regard them as sex bc the horny one-the one with horns- decides to let him use his body) all look like some reference on sex positions. Now this, next panel that, then put it from that angle. Boring actually.
Therefore I've dropped it.
It all just comes down to preference. At the end of the day these authors arent stupid, they know what majority of the audience like (im not saying rape is okay n all the red flags n what not, my point is that ppl love seeing the toxicity be pushed to max and they want the satisfaction of the grovelling arc) n these authors arent stupid gna keep producing these stories wd its raging n absurd red flags, and yk what? Ppl eat it up every damn time notice how the popular manhwas r always the most toxic.
There are plenty other manhwas that are green flagged, though not as many but theyre out there.
Even I dont enjoy the toxicity of it all, but i dont shame on the creator or the ppl who enjoy it, i simply just scroll because it rly isnt that deep at the end of the day. Its fiction

The thing that the most brutal and toxic stories are able to gather more attention, doesn't surprise me at all. It "sells" better bc it triggers emotions,ppl will talk about it, some would want to check for themselves etc. etc.
It might be also easier to draw. Your characters might be flat and their arcs simple, but you'll still be able to draw maaaany chapters.
I'm not saying anyone here is stupid, nor the authors nor the readers. Nor I'm shaming them. The authors just go for the easier road in my opinion.
I once read the brutal histories too, without paying much attention to the coherence there - so I know it's just the age ;)
Now I'll check if there's smth in the story that might at least a little explain such sexual violence.
Honestly i feel like authors tend to go for more toxic storylines cuz they cant write a story that is GOOD ENOUGH that they dont need toxicity to be the main plot lolol. But i mean drawing it out n making yhe story n whatnot i enjoy some n drop some

Only reason I continued reading this is because I hoped that MC would end up with the nice not deranged, evil, murdering, racist, rapist eridemeble sociopath brother. But of course it couldn't be that good. And for the people still here because they think a character like that can be redeemed... I feel sorry for your therapist because I know they have a lot on their plate. I just wanna point you towards painter of the night as well because I know you'd eat that shit up as well. As for me, I'm logging out, searching for a manga where the good guy wins because my head isn't equipped for this fuckery. Imma see myself out.
