why would you read this if you don’t like the MAIN characters? It’s not like the side characters actually get a lot of “screen time” lol
What do you mean why lol, people do read or watch fiction because of side characters yk. If not then there wouldn't be so many side characters who ends up becoming most popular characters while the fans dislike the mc.
I never heard of a show getting hyped up and actually being successful just because of side characters but go off lmao
Literally jujutsu kaisen, teen wolf, bungo stray dogs, durarara(mc are generally disliked by most but side characters are one of the main reasons of its hype)
And I'm not even talking about the series being successful because of that specific side characters but just that many people do just continue to read stories because they love just that one small character and wait for their screen time.
Also everyone hates the MCs of Rent a girlfriend and Domestic girlfriend but both animes are popular lol
Author did answer in her twitter that Jian is one of the mc as he did appear from ch1 and the 2d couple get more scenes
I was fine with them at first but gradually disliked them
