Yup. It is an eerie scene when a person smile showing no hesitation. It's like they have achieved peace and their heart has set to end. Like similar story of how depressed person becomes cheerful one day just to commit suicide the next day. It's almost traumatizing.
It's almost like a relief to be set free that you smile you know.
The scene where he jumps off the building and the expressions of all the people below is just so raw. It gives us such a deep understanding of his character and I agree if I was ever in that position I believe I will smile too.
