Ido had no right to do that, and remember Ido knows more about seojin than he lets on. Rule #1 of any toxic relationship is isolating you. Even if it’s “because I care” doesn’t make it any less toxic!! Seojin must think it’s normal considering how his father is. A healthier way would’ve been ido allowing seojin to make up his own mind and give guidance knowing how abusive his father is.
