Even without the spoilers, I do think that Ido did the right thing to separate seojin from his toxic dad. Forget abt the spoiled brat and the mother. BUT THE FATHER??
Not only he sold his adopted son to the highest bidder in the market BUT HE IS CORRUPT!
corrupt people should rot in a hole without sunlight! And die alone!!

I don’t think it’s that, seojin is an adult that always felt out of the loop and had no real control of HIS life. Ido had no right to do that, and remember Ido knows more about seojin than he lets on. Rule #1 of any toxic relationship is isolating you. Even if it’s “because I care” doesn’t make it any less toxic!! Seojin must think it’s normal considering how his father is. A healthier way would’ve been ido allowing seojin to make up his own mind and give guidance knowing how abusive his father is.

hmmm i never thought of this perspective.. i really get both sides now. ido def should've just told seojin about his plans as they were going on. all of this could've been avoided fr if ido just communicated properly

I agree. Ido doing all that thinking this is all for Sejin or "because I care", but did he really know what Sejin actually really want. I bet he do all that because he feel guilty for his past action. I'm reading the novel right now, and all I wanna say right now is

KWON IDO YOU JERK!! HOW DARE YOU!!!

I really want to say that since yesterday actually....
