Am I the only one?

You know in the beginning when I first started reading manga, i usually avoid long chapters stories like a plaque and tend to opt for short 5 to 7 chapters manga. Mostly of which has lots of smut and the story was like meet fall in love then sex in an instant.
Nowadays however I'm invested more in manhwa with good plot good storyline and lots of chapters and the author could flesh out the characters properly. Don't get me wrong, I do love myself some smut but after the story has progressed a bit where they show how the two slowly fall in love and their reasoning behind it too. Do you guys feel the same.
I'm ranting here because irl I don't have friends who enjoy manga/manhwa , they don't even like anime which I sad so here I am trying to find like minded people here.

And on that note, pls recommend me good reads pls I beg you

Intresting. I've had the opposite experience. I only looked for long stories with good plot and no smut. It was only this year that I started to explore yaoi vs. sticking to shounen ai. It's rlly opened a new world. I'm still rlly into the yearning aspect of the story, though. I find it boring once they get together and every chapter just becomes smut or slice or life style dates.

i have always been more inclined towards shounen ai, with more plot since the beginning, although i did not read smut at all, ive started reading stuff with minimal smut.
