Bcuz he was never really "bad" to him, I think? He was the secretary that he trust the most and understand the most. He had a certain soft spot for him, the one who always supported him. And in the first place the MC is a soft soul that cannot even bring himslef to loathe the entire family or threw them away despite everything he has experienced. He is just isn't capable to. Jot entirely because he is an idiot, simply bcuz his kind heart has no capacity of doing that. He is hopelessly soft and kind.
It feels like that might come to a boil though. It seems like he’s gonna start standing up for himself. Wouldn’t mind seeing that.
I do disagree about that the guy wasn’t really bad towards Mc. He helped in the distraction of MCs family. The MC seems to take it personal to me at least. He seems to feel that everything is being taken away from him. He doesn’t look happy at all to me. Which just makes it so much weirder to me that he gets back into the car with the guy who betrayed his family, even if that family wasn’t the greatest.
Imma put it this way. Imagine you found out that the person you are falling in love with is powerful enough to pry you from the closest thing you had as a family (even if it is outright dysfunctional), give you a sense of purpose and feel safe then suddenly became the person who secretly isolated you from that family and even managed to crush them to the ground. Then you found out the person who helped them bring the family down was waiting outside the door for you. You thought of running away. Taking an Uber home. But the mastermind of all this is at home. He seemed to know you better than yourself. He knows where you'll go when you feel the need for comfort. He's probably tracking you where ever you go. You also realize that if you leave, you'll not only lose the life you have known but go back to the desperate days before you were 'adopted.' And even if you leave, how are you sure that the mastermind would leave you alone? You are scared and helpless by the nightmares and trauma you had to endure until now. You know from experience that if you become difficult and uncooperative, only worse things would happen to you. What would you do then?
I promise you. Sejin, at that moment, has no choice but to get in that car. This is not basic survival skills. It is a strategic one.
I don’t agree. Sejin wasn’t asked by the alpha to use this driver, he would have lost nothing to not get in the car with this driver. Him not getting into the car with his old secretary, the thing my whole post is about, has nothing to do with the alpha. The alpha is a whole other argument. And an argument at that that wouldn’t be affected by him taking a uber home. If that, of course, is where he would choose to go. But again, that is another discussion.
I can’t believe he got into the car with him again. I would never. When all trust is burnt, you don’t let them drive you around.
