I'm sorry but that's not how real life works, he was just a vulnerable orphan raised to adjust to please people and pushed around by them... then came this asshole who isolated him, and although treating him badly made him gave a false sense of security, and now this confinement arc where he is stripped out of his senses and which basically caused him PTSD. Instead of blaming this poor kid and asking him to unalive himself you should be blaming are the society he was forced to grow up in, and especially the spawn of devil himself which i can't curse enough :(
