He love bombs her (aka the idea he has concocted of her) then he betrays and abandons her (when she doesn’t fulfill this persona that is…you guessed it…still not her). And then viciously condemns and punishes her for it. Anywhere in that is he actually trying to get close to / away from na Haesoo or just the trauma he has experienced and then projected onto her over the years and maybe tried to fix or rail against vicariously through her and their relationship?
